The Mckenzie Gals!

Well. I spent a couple of days mulling over this one - 3 sisters - a new one for me. My studio is only iddy biddy and the backdrop i ordered didn't arrive too so that made for some extra fun! Thankfully my new Bowen's lights arrived and worked like a dream!

I did a 2 x backdrop shoot for the girls on request - and who could say no as they asked so politely!

All 3 were a pleasure to photograph even someone in particular couldn't help but perform her wonderful take on Zoolanders "Blue Steel" LOL - Yeesss you know who you are!! ;)

New Faux Floor

I made myself a new faux floor today from laminate wood. Im hoping it will add a little something extra to my images that many other photographers around my way lack :) I put it together by simply glueing 7 of the slats together to make a rough 4' x 4' piece that will get mounted onto MDF for strength ad durability. The Skirting was added to make a more seemless and convincing image of a wall and floor.

My Inspiration...

My love of photography is spurred on by the constant inspiration I gain from my 2 boys Luke and Jack. Luke is a huge lover of having his picture taken. I have many shots of him and his winning poses, but the shot below has to be one of my favorites of him.

Jack on the other hand is the opposite - he HATES the camera and will do most thing to avoid it! Its such a shame though as he is such a photgenic little boy! However he will join in on the action and muscle in on some of Lukes shoots just as a reminder that he is still the one in charge!

Here we are, my first blog posting.......

Well here I am! My first blog post! I have no clue as to what im doing - so far im winging it! Today I finally got my website looking how I want it. Its not the most flashy of sites, but it was all my own work and I struggle enough with HTML as it is never mind Flash! Im currently rebranding my products under my new name of DaisyChains photography. Im hoping to produce gift certs, leaflets a few posters and new packaging too! The business cards are done and im waiting for their arrival. Thank goodness for Vista-Print!
